Yoga isn’t just a practice, it’s a way of life.

Yoga Om is proud to partner with the Trini Foundation in supporting the recovery community in North Carolina and surrounding areas. Through the Trini Foundation’s scholarship program, we offer monthly tuition assistance to individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We understand that when a person first gets sober it is just the beginning of a life-long journey. We are committed to providing the guidance and resources necessary to promote the growth and healing required to maintain a healthy, sober lifestyle.

If you are a scholarship candidate, please email to apply.

More About the Trini Foundation

The Trini Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to sharing Ashtanga yoga with those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. It’s our mission to provide yoga as a tool to aide in the recovery process and help those who are suffering maintain long-term sobriety.

Yoga is the state in which one recognizes the "reality in itself" and no longer confuses it with the subconscious illustrations of its mind (memory, ideas, categories, etc.). The prerequisite is letting go of the idea "I can see what is" because without yoga you can only see a greatly reduced and distorted picture of reality, an illusion.
This leads to the reduction of all forms of confirmation and suffering, which inevitably result from the wrong view.

Yoga Exercise is exploring and approaching this condition.

Yoga tradition is a collection of techniques that have been tested, researched and passed on over many generations of teachers and students.
